To continuously build a learning-oriented organization—an unwavering commitment of Heqichang—Chunsun Academy has been rolling out a series of practical, job-aligned courses that promote knowledge renewal, skill enhancement, and long-term safety awareness. On November 13, Safety Officer Lin Jingyu from the Safety & Environmental Department delivered a highly practical course titled “Fire Emergency and Fire Safety Knowledge”, providing systematic and professional guidance on fire characteristics, fire prevention measures, and emergency response.

The training began with an introduction to the fundamental characteristics of fires, including their sudden onset, high temperatures, toxic smoke, and oxygen deficiency. Lin emphasized the three essential elements of combustion—fuel, oxidizer, and ignition source—establishing a foundational framework for participants to assess fire risks.

During the session on fire development stages, Lin offered an in-depth explanation of the entire process—from the initial growth stage to full development and eventual decay—helping employees gain a clearer understanding of how fire situations evolve and the dangers involved. The course also detailed the toxicity and movement patterns of smoke during fires, such as smoke plumes, ceiling jets, and smoke-layer descent, highlighting the critical message that “smoke is more deadly than flames.”

Lin then introduced common fire-fighting tools such as fire extinguishers, fire blankets, and hydrants. He provided a step-by-step demonstration of fire extinguisher usage—from correct retrieval to standardized operation—ensuring that every participant could truly master this essential skill.

Regarding fire prevention and emergency handling, the training summarized four core prevention strategies: controlling combustible materials, isolating oxidizers, eliminating ignition sources, and preventing fire spread. In the emergency response section, Lin stressed the principles of “l(fā)ife safety first,” “unified command,” and “control before extinguish,” while clearly outlining the fire alarm process, key on-site response procedures, and evacuation considerations—equipping participants with comprehensive knowledge to respond effectively to fire emergencies.

Following the training, a Chunsun discussion session was held, during which participants shared insights and exchanged learning experiences in a lively and engaging atmosphere.
