A touching moment recently warmed the hearts of everyone present at the "2025 Golden Autumn Scholarship Symposium," jointly organized by Fujian Heqichang Bamboo Industry Co., Ltd. and the Yong'an City Working Committee for Caring for the Next Generation.

Two Decades of Commitment and Care

The "Golden Autumn Scholarship" initiative was launched by Yu Xianlu, Chairman of Heqichang and Special Invited Vice Director of the Yong'an City Working Committee for Caring for the Next Generation. For over two decades, this program has persisted, with the company cumulatively investing over one million yuan in scholarship funds, helping generations of financially disadvantaged students realize their dreams of attending university.

Today, under the continued efforts of company President Yu Yan, this philanthropic endeavor continues to radiate renewed warmth and strength.

A Special "Gift"

At this year's scholarship event, beyond the presentation of financial aid and student speeches, a "special gift" of genuine emotional connection moved many in the audience to tears.

Ms. Luo, a former scholarship recipient who could not attend due to work commitments, sent her heartfelt wishes via video. She donated her first savings after starting work, amounting to 12,000 yuan, in Heqichang's name to a fellow student about to begin her university journey, passing on the warmth she once received.

Poverty Does Not Define the End

In the video, Ms. Luo emotionally recalled her university days: "Back then, I carried both hopes for the future and the weight of my family’s burdens. It was the care of Uncle Yu and the teachers from the Working Committee that allowed me to step onto a university campus. At that moment, I secretly vowed to myself: one day, I would pass on this warmth to others."

"Today, I donate my first savings after starting work because, at a time when I needed it most, someone reached out to help me. The child who once stood in the rain now wants to hold an umbrella for her juniors."

She admitted that she once felt insecure due to her family’s hardships but later came to understand that accepting help is not a label of weakness but a choice of courage and resilience. To her juniors, she said, "Poverty may limit our starting point, but it must never define how far we can go. Believe in yourselves. The torch you hold today will one day light the way for others."

At the end of the video, Ms. Luo bowed deeply, expressing her gratitude to Chairman Yu Xianlu, President Yu Yan, and the teachers of the Working Committee: "You made kindness flow, giving me the chance to become a link in this chain of compassion." Her sincere words deeply moved the students and guests present, bringing many to tears.

Passing the Torch of Kindness

For over two decades, Heqichang’s "Golden Autumn Scholarship" has helped countless students enter university. Now, these supported students are transforming the care they received into a relay of kindness, passing it on to others in need.

At the symposium, the Yong'an City Working Committee for Caring for the Next Generation presented President Yu Yan with the "Compassionate Donor for Educational Support" honorary certificate. This honor not only acknowledges her long-standing dedication to education and care for students but also serves as a testament to Heqichang’s corporate responsibility and warmth.

As President Yu Yan said, "The development of an enterprise relies on talent, and caring for students means safeguarding hope." With sincere compassion, she has conveyed care to every student, allowing them to feel the warmth of "home" on their journey to pursue their dreams.

Love is being passed down through generations.

Kindness, like a gentle stream, will eventually converge into a mighty river.
